Project Overview

Jira Assistant is an agentic workflow-automation tool that bridges natural language and Jira's project-management API. Built on the OpenAI Agents SDK with a specialized-agent orchestration approach, the system exposes Jira operations as structured tools validated with Zod schemas. Users can create issues, update statuses, search tickets, and manage workflows through conversational commands rather than navigating the Jira UI. The React and Node.js frontend delivers a clean chat interface, while the backend handles authentication, tool dispatch, and error handling.
