Project Overview

Mantis is a product-support platform where companies attach documentation to products and users interact with a hypothesis-driven diagnostic assistant. The agent asks targeted questions, eliminates possible causes, and surfaces a probable fix grounded in official support material — with ranked candidate causes, confidence scores, and citations. The knowledge repository supports manual text, PDFs, external links, and videos. PDF text and link content are extracted automatically; video audio is transcribed via a Hugging Face Space running faster-whisper, enabling timestamp-based citations. Image-based troubleshooting is handled by Llama 4 Scout, and voice input/output is powered by the Web Speech API. The system supports multilingual queries and falls back to full-manual context when MOSS is unavailable.
